- Who can buy
- Foreign tourists with a non-Japanese passport who enter Japan with a "Temporary Visitor" (短期滞在) stamp/sticker and show the passport when the ticket is issued. Only the named holder may use it.
- Format
- Paper ticket issued with your passport details.

- Seasonal: sold online/in Japan 15 Mar – 6 Nov 2026 (overseas from 1 Feb 2026); usable 15 Apr – 10 Nov 2026.

Is it worth it?
Add the normal one-way fares of the rides you plan within 5 days (from the fare charts at stations or a route planner).
Express, seat and Green car charges are usually not included in a pass: leave them out of the fares too unless the pass covers them.
How to use it
- Buy online (JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION), from an overseas agent, or at a station ticket office in Japan with your passport.
- Ride non-reserved seats on the covered JR routes; reserved seats on Hida/Shinano limited expresses are free up to 4 times in busy periods.
- For the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, show the ticket at Tateyama or Ōgisawa station ticket window to get the Alpine Route ticket first.
- Carry your passport while using the ticket.
