IC cards and payment in detail

All ten nationwide transport IC cards work at the gates of every New Shuttle station (Ōmiya – Uchijuku), and you can top them up on the line. Suica and PASMO auto-charge works at the gates of every station. New Shuttle does not sell Suica or PASMO commuter passes. Ticket machines also accept transport IC cards as payment for tickets. Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX, Diners, Discover; not J-Debit) are accepted only at the Ōmiya station window; other stations take cash.
