IC cards and payment in detail

Okinawa's own OKICA (sold at ticket machines, ¥500 deposit; unregistered OKICA always pays the adult fare) and Suica plus all cards in mutual use with it work at the gates. Cards can be topped up at ticket machines. P

ゆいレールは「乗車券」 または ICカード 「OKICA（オキカ)」や「Suica（スイカ）」ほか、Suicaと相互利用する交通系ICカード（※１）で利用することができます。

Getting on

  1. Buy a QR ticket (fare shown on the board above the machine) or an OKICA card at the ticket machine, or use your own transport IC card.
  2. Contactless credit or debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay) need no top-up: touch them on the pink reader at the gate. QR tickets and IC cards go on the blue reader.
  3. Touch the same way when you leave the station. No discounts with card touch payment.
  4. Platforms are upstairs; there are no down escalators, so use the stairs or lift.
Wheelchair assistance

Stations have lifts, escalators (up), accessible toilets, tactile paving and wheelchair spaces; there is boarding equipment for wheelchair users.
