You cannot ride with a transport IC card: on board and at unstaffed stations (or staffed stations outside window hours) only cash is accepted. Since 22 Jan 2025 the windows at Yatsushiro, Sashiki, Minamata, Izumi, Akune and Sendai accept credit cards, transport IC cards, nanaco and Rakuten Edy to buy tickets (Hinagu Onsen: PayPay). P
