IC cards and payment in detail
Transport IC cards cannot be used. Tsugaru Railway's Stove Train guide says tickets (fare plus the Stove Train fee) are sold at the station windows (Tsugaru-Goshogawara, Kanagi, Tsugaru-Nakasato) for cash only: credit cards and e-money are not accepted. Boarding at an unstaffed station, buy from the conductor on the train. The operator's pages mention no IC card readers for other trains either; bring cash. P
Wheelchair assistance
Head office main number. No accessibility page was found. Stove trains (1 Dec–31 Mar, three round trips a day) need a ¥1,000 stove-train ticket on top of the fare. Tel. 0173-34-2148
Valid only between the stations named; outside that stretch you pay the fare. Stretches marked “unofficial source” come from Wikipedia or travel sites, and “estimated from the official map” ones were read off the issuer's map image, not its text: check the official map before you buy.
Passengers per day: people boarding and getting off on an average day, all operators at the station counted once each (MLIT station passenger data S12).
