IC cards and payment in detail

PASMO, Suica, Kitaca, TOICA, manaca, ICOCA, PiTaPa, SUGOCA, nimoca and Hayakaken all work on the Tōyō Rapid Line (Nishi-Funabashi – Tōyō-Katsutadai). The IC fare applies when you use one IC card from entry to exit. Ticket machines and pass offices take cash only (no credit cards). Contactless credit card touch at the gates was not found on the operator's pages. P

Getting on

  1. Touch an IC card at the automatic gate, or buy a ticket at the ticket machine (cash only). A ticket is valid until the last train on the day of purchase.
  2. Every station has elevators and a wide (about 90 cm) gate for wheelchairs and large luggage.

Getting off

  1. Leave through the gate with the same IC card or ticket. If you stop off on the way, a ticket is no longer valid for the rest of the trip.

Station Services Section (運輸施設部駅務課), weekdays 9:00–17:30, for fare and ticket questions; each station also lists its own phone number. All stations have elevators from entrance to platform, escalators, wide gates and multipurpose toilets. Tel. 047-458-0026
