Getting on
Only 7 of the 38 stations sell tickets and no station has ticket gates: most stations are unstaffed, so you usually pay on the train.
Check the train's destination and board through the rear door of the front car (doors of the second car do not open).
Take one numbered ticket (整理券 seiriken) per person from the machine in front of the door and keep it until you get off.
Paying by contactless credit card: touch your card on the reader beside the driver's cab when you board.
Getting off
Before your stop, check your fare on the fare display at the front of the front car (under your 整理券 number).
Have the exact fare ready; use the change machine on the fare box beforehand if you have no coins.
At your stop, go to the fare box by the driver. Show the 整理券 to the driver and put it in the fare box with the exact cash fare, or with your ticket.
Commuter pass holders: show the pass and put the 整理券 in the fare box.
Paying by PayPay: show the 整理券, scan the QR code in the train, enter the fare, show it to the driver and pay after the driver checks it.
Paying by contactless credit card: touch the same card on the reader beside the driver's cab again.
Get off through the front door of the front car.
