Every Hanshin station has IC-card ticket gates (Higashi-Naruo and Sunosaki have simple IC-only gates), and the nationwide transport IC cards work: ICOCA, Kitaca, manaca, TOICA, PASMO, Suica, Hayakaken, nimoca and SUGOCA (top up first at a ticket machine or fare adjustment machine), plus the post-pay PiTaPa card. Mobile Suica, Mobile PASMO and Mobile ICOCA also work at the gates. ICOCA (¥2,000 incl. ¥500 deposit) is sold at station ticket machines. Use one card per touch and do not combine an IC card with a paper ticket. Paper tickets can be bought with cash only (not with IC cards or credit cards). Contactless credit/debit/prepaid cards and phones (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay) work at the gates of every Hanshin line (Main Line Osaka-Umeda–Motomachi, Hanshin Namba Line Osaka-Namba–Amagasaki, Mukogawa Line, Kobe Kosoku Line Motomachi–Nishidai), at the adult fare only: no child or disability fares, no commuter passes, one card per person. 阪神電車では事前に券売機等でチャージいただくことで、以下の全国相互利用対象のICカードについて、改札機でのご利用が可能です。ICOCA、Kitaca、manaca、TOICA、PASMO、Suica、はやかけん、nimoca、SUGOCAWheelchair users: tell staff at the station ticket window or call them with the gate intercom when you travel; there may be a wait when staff are away.
