IC cards cannot be used as tickets on the Gakunan Railway. The only exception: the ticket machine at Yoshiwara accepts transport IC cards as electronic money to buy a single ticket or the one-day pass. Coming from JR at Yoshiwara, an IC card shortfall at the JR transfer gate must be paid in cash. Contactless credit-card touch is not available: fares on board are cash only. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) and QR payments (Alipay, WeChat Pay, LINE Pay, PayPay, d-barai) can be used only at the Yoshiwara ticket machine, for single tickets and the one-day pass. P
