Step-free accessAll stations · Station list →PEvery Toei Subway station has elevators giving one step-free route from street to ticket gate to platform, and a wide gate at each gate area. All stations carry a wheelchair boarding ramp: ask station staff. Every train has a wheelchair space.
PASMO, Suica and the other nationwide transport IC cards (Kitaca, TOICA, manaca, ICOCA, PiTaPa, Hayakaken, nimoca, SUGOCA) can be used on all Toei rail lines: the four subway lines, the Tokyo Sakura Tram and the Nippori-Toneri Liner. This comes from the PASMO operator list and Toei's published tram IC card rules; Toei's own website could not be retrieved, and PASMO notes that a few lines in its area do not take every card. On the tram the IC fare applies only when the whole fare is paid from one card. Contactless credit/debit cards and phones (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay) work at the gates of every subway station since 23 December 2025, at the adult fare only (some gates: use the staffed window). The announcements cover the subway only, not the tram or the Liner. P
On the tram you pay when you board, not when you get off: Toei's tram rules require the fare to be paid before or immediately after boarding. With an IC card (including the Silver Pass) touch the reader on the fare box when boarding. Toei's tram how-to page could not be retrieved, so which door to use and whether the fare box gives change are not confirmed here.

Safety and lost propertyLost something on a train? Ask station staff straight away, or contact the railway's lost-property service: most big operators use the "find chat" online form (open 24 hours) plus a phone line. Say when and where you lost it, which train or stations, and describe the item in detail. Items move after a few days to a central office and, in Tokyo, then to the Metropolitan Police Lost and Found Center. Bring photo ID such as your passport to collect it.
