- Everyone going to Miyajima pays the Miyajima Visitor Tax (100 yen) on top of the fare; island residents and some others are exempt.
- There is no parking on Miyajima: leave your car at a paid car park in Miyajimaguchi.
- At Miyajimaguchi, Matsudai Kisen's pier is the one with the blue sign on the left (step-free from the tram stop).
