No booking needed. You can board without a reservation, first come first served. Online booking (skyticket) is possible from 30 days to 2 days before sailing.
Where to buy
- Shin-Okayama Port: ticket window 8:00–11:40 and 13:00–18:30 (ring the intercom if needed) and ticket machines; the 6:20 sailing is sold only at the machines
- Tonoshō Port: window from 30 min before each sailing (in the Shikoku Ferry / Shōdoshima Ferry building); a passenger-only ticket machine in the separate Tonoshō ferry terminal
- Shikoku Ferry also has offices at Shin-Okayama and in the Tonoshō Port Ferry Center (both 8:00–19:30)
- Kamome Bus Kippu (bus + ferry): Okayama Station bus terminal information centre, Tenmaya ticket centre, Tonoshō Port window, or in the Jorudan and tabiwa apps
Paying: Windows take cash, credit cards, e-money and transport IC cards (Suica, ICOCA etc.). The Shin-Okayama machines also take cards, IC and QR payments; the Tonoshō machine is cash only and takes no 2,000/5,000/10,000-yen notes.

- Fares include a fuel surcharge that changes every quarter; the surcharge from January 2027 was not yet decided on the checked date.
- Shikoku Ferry (Shōdoshima Ferry group) also lists this route with the same timetable and fares and has offices at both ports (8:00–19:30), but its web booking does not cover it: book through Kokusai Ryobi Ferry.
- Buy your ticket at least 10 min before departure.
- The route is covered by the JR Okayama–Kagawa Wide Pass, together with Okayama Station – Shin-Okayama Port buses.
