IC cards (TOICA, Suica, ICOCA, manaca etc.) and contactless credit-card touch payment cannot be used on the Ise Railway section (Kawarada–Tsu). Coming from the JR Nagoya direction, buy a ticket to your destination beforehand (an other-company through ticket, 他会社連絡きっぷ), or exit at JR Yokkaichi and buy a new ticket. Coming from Kintetsu, exit at Tsu and buy an Ise Railway ticket. If you ride into the line on an IC card or card touch anyway, the Ise Railway fare is settled in cash and you get a slip (ICカード等処理連絡票) to finish the card exit at a staffed gate or support ticket machine of the company where you touched in.
