  2. Cash: take a numbered ticket (整理券 seiriken) on the train or on the platform when you board.

One-man train: the driver drives and collects fares. Keep your ticket or 整理券 until you get off.

The board above the driver. Each number on it has an amount.

ワンマン
wanman — one-man operation

The driver drives and also collects fares. Pay at the fare box or give the 整理券 and fare to the driver.
