How to ride this train
1. Board at Kuroishi (staffed)
- Buy a ticket to your destination at the ticket machine.
- Have the ticket punched at the gate, then wait on the platform.
- Press the red button beside the door and board. The middle doors do not open.
2. On the train
One-man train: the driver drives and collects fares. Keep your paper ticket until you get off.

3. Get off at Hirosaki Higashi-kōmae (unstaffed)
- Before the stop, move to the front of the first car.
- If you have a paper ticket, hand it to the driver. If you have a 整理券, check the fare on the 運賃表 and pay the driver with the 整理券 and the fare.
- Press the button beside the door to get off.
1. Board at Hirosaki Higashi-kōmae (unstaffed)
This station is staffed only at some times. The unstaffed steps below apply when no staff member is on duty.
- Wait at the front of the train. Only the front door of the first car opens.
- After the train stops, press the red button beside the front door to open it.
- After boarding, take a numbered ticket (整理券 seiriken).
2. On the train
One-man train: the driver drives and collects fares. If you bought a paper ticket, keep it. If not, you took a 整理券 when you boarded: keep it until you get off.

3. Get off at Kuroishi (staffed)
- Press the button inside the car and get off. The middle doors do not open.
- At the gate, hand your ticket to the staff member. If you hold a 整理券, show it and pay the fare.
Winter tip
In winter, don't leave the doors open. After you board, press 「閉」 inside the car to close the door and keep the heat in.
