Online reservations (Hassha Orai Net) open at 9:00 one month ahead, up to 4 seats per booking, one way at a time, and must be paid at booking (credit card, d払い, PayPay, au PAY). No phone reservations. Short sections such as Awa-Kainan–Kaifu cannot be reserved: ask the driver. Same-day tickets are also sold at the Shishikui Station window (8:30–17:30, cash or coupons).
DMV Kainan–Shishikui: notice (active)Since 1 Sep 2026 only one DMV vehicle is in service: weekday trips run normally, but some Saturday, Sunday and holiday trips are cancelled for the time being (up 38, 42, 48; down 135, 139, 143, 147). How to ride this DMV

1. Board at Michi no Eki Shishikui Onsen

  1. The DMV has only 18 seats. Reserving online (Hassha Orai Net, 発車オ~ライネット) is recommended if you need a particular trip; without a reservation you can board only if a seat is free. Phone reservations are not accepted.
  2. Wait at the DMV stop or platform for your direction. The DMV has a single door on the left side in the direction of travel.
  3. Passengers with reservations board first: tell the driver your seat number and name.
  4. Without a reservation: always ask the driver whether you can board (seats may be reserved further along), and tell the driver your destination. If the DMV is full, you cannot board.
  5. Take a numbered ticket (整理券 seiriken). None is issued at the first stop.
  6. At the terminal stops (Awa-Kainan Bunka Mura, Michi no Eki Shishikui Onsen) wait a while after arrival before boarding: the DMV is prepared for the next trip.

2. On the DMV

Keep your ticket or 整理券 until you get off.

3. Get off at Kaifu

  1. Pay at the end of the ride: put your 整理券 and the fare in cash into the fare box (coupon tickets and special tickets are also accepted). IC cards, e-money and credit cards cannot be used.
  2. There is no change machine on board; the driver gives change, but please have the exact fare if you can.
  3. With a reservation, show your 整理券 and your mobile ticket. If you rode beyond the reserved section, show the mobile ticket and pay the difference.
  4. At Shishikui Station, pay or show your ticket to staff at the ground-floor gate window instead of the fare box.
