- Sold only as a voucher by travel agencies outside Japan (WEST QR service). The paper Kansai Area Pass stopped selling on 30 Sep 2026.

Is it worth it?
Add the normal one-way fares of the rides you plan within 1 day (from the fare charts at stations or a route planner).
Express, seat and Green car charges are usually not included in a pass: leave them out of the fares too unless the pass covers them.
How to use it
- Buy a WEST-QR voucher from a travel agency outside Japan.
- Register the voucher on the WEST-QR website; on the first day tap "Use ticket" (after 4:00) to show the QR code.
- Scan the QR code at QR-compatible gates; ride HARUKA (non-reserved, plus 2 reserved rides) and local/rapid trains in the Kansai free area.
