IC cards and payment in detail

PASMO works at every Tama Monorail station (Kamikitadai – Tama-Center), and Suica and the other nationwide transport IC cards work through the nationwide mutual-use scheme. PASMO is sold at the ticket machines of all stations; you can top up at all ticket and fare adjustment machines and at the staffed windows (Tama-Center, Chūō-Daigaku/Meisei-Daigaku, Takahatafudō, Tachikawa-Minami, Tachikawa-Kita, Tachihi, Tamagawa-Jōsui, Kamikitadai). Contactless credit card touch is not mentioned on the operator's ticket page. P

Getting on

  1. Touch an IC card at the gate, or buy a ticket from the ticket machine (every station has them; a ticket is valid on the day of issue only).
  2. At stations without staff on duty, use the intercom next to the ticket machines if you need help (e.g. for a disability discount ticket).

Getting off

  1. Leave through the gate with the same IC card or ticket; pay any difference at the fare adjustment machine.
