IC cards and payment in detail
The operator says PASMO and Suica can be used on every leg of the trip from JR Mitake station (bus, cable car and chairlift). Its notices describe transport IC cards being used to buy tickets at the staffed window; whether you can simply touch in at a gate is not stated. A system failure from 26 September 2026 affected IC and credit card payments; on 8 October 2026 IC payment at the window was working again (from about 8:00) but further outages were possible. Fares from 1 October 2026 (Takimoto – Mitakesan): adult ¥700 one way / ¥1,400 return, child ¥350 / ¥700. P
