IC cards and payment in detail

Suica, PASMO and other IC cards cannot be used anywhere on the Kominato Railway, and credit cards are not accepted for tickets or passes. Coming from the JR Uchibō Line with an IC card: touch out at the transfer gate at Goi (this pays your JR fare to Goi), then pay the Kominato fare in cash. P

Getting on

  1. Buy your ticket at the ticket window or ticket machine before boarding (cash only). Special tickets such as the one-day pass should be bought at the window in advance.
  2. If you could not buy a ticket in time, tell the conductor on the train.

  1. At unstaffed stations buy your ticket from the conductor on the train. Where the station has a ticket machine, buy from the machine instead and show the ticket when the conductor checks it on board.
Wheelchair assistance

Kominato Railway Goi Conductors' Office (五井車掌区), weekdays 9:00–17:30. Wheelchair users should book at least 2 days before travelling; staff help with boarding and alighting, but some times or stations may not be possible. Tel. 0436-21-6773
