IC cards and payment in detail

PASMO, Suica and the other nationwide transport IC cards (Kitaca, TOICA, manaca, ICOCA, PiTaPa, Hayakaken, nimoca, SUGOCA) can be used at every station on all Keikyu lines (Main, Airport, Daishi, Zushi and Kurihama lines). Keikyu's IC card rules note that some of the mutual-use cards may not work on some machines. Contactless credit/debit/prepaid cards and phones (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay) work at every Keikyu station since 23 December 2025 (trial at some stations from December 2024), adult fare only, except at the transfer gates of Shinagawa, Tenkūbashi, Hatchō-nawate and Yokohama, the west exit of Kanagawa-shinmachi and the Keikyu Department Store exit of Kamiōoka. PASMOは、以下の鉄道事業者の全駅(伊豆箱根鉄道駿豆線を除く)でご利用いただけます。

Getting on

  1. Buy a ticket at the ticket machine (自動券売機), or use an IC card such as PASMO or Suica, or a contactless credit/debit/prepaid card or phone.
  2. Enter through the automatic ticket gate (自動改札機). IC card: touch it on the gate reader. Contactless card or phone: touch it on the separate touch-payment reader fitted to the gate.
  3. Contactless cards do not work at the transfer gates at Shinagawa, Tenkūbashi, Hatchō-nawate and Yokohama, at Kanagawa-shinmachi (west exit) or at Kamiōoka (Keikyu Department Store exit): use another gate.

Getting off

  1. Leave through the automatic ticket gate, touching the same IC card you entered with.
  2. If the IC card balance is too low for the fare, pay the difference at the fare adjustment machine (精算機) and then exit.
  3. Contactless credit/debit card or phone: exit with the same card or device you entered with. You pay the adult fare (no child or disability fares), and the card cannot be used to pay a fare adjustment (use cash or an IC card).
  4. Since 25 March 2026 one touch-in/touch-out with a contactless card also covers trips continuing onto Toei, Tokyo Metro, Keio, Tokyu, Odakyu, Sotetsu, Seibu, Tobu and Minatomirai lines (some of their stations excluded). Riding on to any other company's line (for example Keisei) is not possible with a contactless card: use an IC card instead.
