Step-free accessMost stations · Station list →P12 of the 15 stations have no stairs to the platform; Inadamichi, Ichibe and Kanbayashi have stairs, so wheelchair users should use a nearby station. The crew help with boarding; the gap between platform and train is wide at Nii, Hirokoji and Kanbayashi. Toilets at Uenoshi, Hirokoji (outside the gate) and Kayamachi.
IC cards and payment in detail
The 10 nationwide transport IC cards can be used. Always touch the IC gate both when entering and when leaving (hold the card for at least 1 second); if you pass without touching, the card cannot be used next time. You cannot enter with an IC card and exit with a paper ticket or pass, or the other way round. ICOCA and child ICOCA are sold for ¥2,000 (including ¥500 deposit). P

Getting on
Only Uenoshi (Ninjashi) and Iga-Kambe have station staff. Buy a ticket to your destination at the window or ticket machine, or touch your IC card on the IC gate.
Uenoshi station also sells Kintetsu tickets and limited express tickets.
Getting off
Show your ticket at the gate, or touch the same IC card on the IC gate when you leave.
Getting on
All other stations are unstaffed. Board, then buy your ticket from the on-board attendant, or pay when you get off.
With an IC card, touch the IC gate when you enter.
Getting off
If you have no ticket, pay the fare when you get off; speak to the train crew.
With an IC card, touch the IC gate when you leave.
Wheelchair assistance
Wheelchair users: contact Uenoshi station (0595-21-3231) in advance; the train crew help you on and off at most stations. Inotamichi, Ichibe and Kambayashi have steps to the platform: use a nearby station with a ramp instead. Handle-type (scooter) electric wheelchairs cannot be used at any Iga Railway station. Usable only on 10, 11, 24 or 25 October 2026 (Iga-Ueno Akari no Jokamachi, Igatetsu Marche, Ueno Tenjin Festival). On 24–25 October children of elementary age and younger ride free without a ticket.
