IC cards and payment in detail

The operator's guide names the transport IC card nimoca: touch the reader at the boarding door and again at the exit door. Whether other nationwide cards are accepted is not stated on the pages checked. With an IC card, a trip to the next station costs a reduced ¥170. P

Getting on

  1. All stations are unstaffed. Board through the boarding door.
  2. Cash: take a numbered ticket (seiriken) at the door.
  3. nimoca: touch the card reader at the boarding door.
  4. Kurosaki-ekimae has a ticket machine on platform 1: there you can buy a ticket before boarding.

Getting off

  1. Fares are paid when you get off (¥230–¥480 adult).
  2. Cash: change money while the train is stopped at a station (no ¥5,000 or ¥10,000 notes), then pay the fare with your numbered ticket to the crew.
  3. nimoca: touch the card reader at the exit door.
Wheelchair assistance

All stations are unstaffed. Wait at the station: when the train arrives, the crew sets up a portable ramp. At busy times or for groups, call the operator (head office 093-243-5525) by the day before. Electric wheelchairs should use the low-floor cars; mobility scooters (handle-type) cannot be carried. Tel. 093-243-5525
