IC cards and payment in detail

PASMO, Suica and the other nationwide transport IC cards work on the Kanazawa Seaside Line (Shin-Sugita – Kanazawa-Hakkei). PASMO also pays at all vending machines and coin lockers in the stations. Disability discount: touch in, but at your exit do not touch the gate (it would charge the full fare); tell the station staff or use the intercom next to the fare adjustment machine. Contactless credit card touch is not mentioned on the operator's pages. P

Getting on

  1. Touch an IC card at the gate, or buy a ticket from the ticket machine.
  2. Trains run automatically without a driver. At unstaffed stations, cameras and intercoms (the ticket machines have video intercoms) connect you to staff who monitor the station.

Getting off

  1. Leave through the gate with the same IC card or ticket. Getting off part-way ends a single, return or coupon ticket.
