IC cards and payment in detail
PASMO and Suica work at the gates and can be used to buy and settle tickets, top up and print history; PASMO is sold at the stations. Kitaca, manaca, TOICA, PiTaPa, ICOCA, Hayakaken, nimoca and SUGOCA can be used only at the automatic gates and fare adjustment machines and for top-ups. IC fares are 1-yen fares (paper tickets 10-yen). Contactless credit/debit/prepaid cards and phones can be touched at Q SKIP gates at every station (adult paper-ticket fare); the same card can be used on Odakyu, Keio, Keikyu, Sotetsu, Tokyu, Tokyo Metro, Toei Subway and parts of Seibu and Tobu. - Touch an IC card or a contactless credit/debit card or phone on the gate reader (Q SKIP gates for contactless cards), or buy a ticket from the ticket machine (valid on the day of purchase only).
- The line connects directly with the Tokyu Tōyoko Line (and through it the Fukutoshin, Tōjō and Seibu Ikebukuro lines), so many trains run through.
Getting off
- Leave through the gate with the same IC card, contactless card/device or ticket.
- Disability discount with an IC card: touch in as usual, but at your exit station do not touch; show your certificate and card at the window.
