Getting on
Unstaffed stations have no boarding-certificate machine: go straight to the platform and board when the doors open.
Tell the conductor where you boarded and where you are going, and buy a ticket on board (cash only). If you could not buy one, the crew settle the fare on the platform where you get off.
Day passes, regional passes and special tickets that include this line, cheapest first. Prices and rules change: check the official page before you buy.
Passengers per day: people boarding and getting off on an average day, all operators at the station counted once each (MLIT station passenger data S12).
