Credit cards, QR-code payments and Visa touch cannot be used. P
IC card: board through any door and touch your card on the green reader beside the door.
Cash: before boarding, take a numbered ticket (整理券 seiriken) from the machine on the platform, near the front end in the direction of travel. Keep it clean and unfolded.
Cash: you may board through any door, but you pay at the driver's cab at the very front when you get off, so the front car is the most convenient.
One-day ticket (Light Line 1-day ticket, worn around the neck): use any door; no need to show it.
Getting off
IC card: get off through any door and touch your card on the yellow reader beside the door.
Cash: check the fare on the monitor behind the driver's cab (fares depend on distance). Put the fare together with the numbered ticket into the fare box in the front car, by the driver, then get off through the front door next to it.
No change is given: change money beforehand, or at the fare box only while the tram is stopped.
Paying for several people with one IC card, or showing a disability certificate: go to the driver's cab when getting off.
Day passes, regional passes and special tickets that include this line, cheapest first. Prices and rules change: check the official page before you buy.
Passengers per day: people boarding and getting off on an average day, all operators at the station counted once each (MLIT station passenger data S12).
