On a one-man train, board through the rear door and take a numbered ticket (seiriken) from the machine.
On a two-car one-man train, the doors of the second car do not open.
At Gomen the operator changes from JR Shikoku to Tosa Kuroshio: if you have no ticket to your destination, pay to Gomen when you get off and then pay the rest on the next train (or buy from the conductor).
At Nakamura, changing from a one-man train to a limited express without a ticket: keep your numbered ticket and show it to the conductor on the express to buy a ticket.
