The operator lists transport IC cards only as a way to pay for tickets, not as a ticket to touch. At the Fuchū (lower) station you can pay for cable car / chairlift tickets with transport IC cards (Kitaca, PASMO, Suica, manaca, TOICA, ICOCA, Hayakaken, nimoca, SUGOCA), other e-money or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX and others). Kasamatsu (upper) station does not take cashless payment, so pay cash there or buy a return ticket at Fuchū. P
Getting on
Buy a ticket at Fuchu station (window on the right of the station building, or the ticket machine): adult ¥400 one way / ¥800 return, child ¥200 / ¥400. The ticket is valid on both the cable car and the chair lift, so you can go up one way and down the other.
Credit cards and e-money are accepted at Fuchu (brands shown only as images; not for every product); Kasamatsu station and the mountain bus stop do not take cashless payment.
The cable car runs every 15 minutes (on the hour, :15, :30, :45) from 9:00, last car 17:00–18:00 depending on the month; the ride takes about 4 minutes. The lift (about 8 minutes) runs 9:00/10:00–16:00 and only on weekends/holidays from 6 January to February.
Pets only in a closed carrier or pet cart with the head not showing.
