IC cards and payment in detail
PASMO has been accepted since 1 April 2018, and the nationwide transport IC cards (Suica etc.) work through the nationwide mutual-use scheme. Commuter passes are issued on PASMO only (not Suica). Ticket machines take cash only; the Ōfuna commuter-pass window also takes PayPay, Alipay and the balance of a physical IC card. Credit cards cannot be used to buy tickets, but contactless cards can be touched at the dedicated gates (see below). P
2018年4月1日(日)始発よりPASMOのサービスを開始しております。交通系ICカードの全国相互利用サービスもご利用いただけます。Getting on
- Four ways to ride: a paper ticket from the station ticket machine (cash), a nationwide transport IC card, a QR digital ticket bought on the official ticket site or the RYDE PASS app, or a contactless credit/debit/prepaid card or phone touched at the dedicated gate.
- Put the ticket through the gate or touch your IC card; hold the QR code to the QR reader of the dedicated gate; touch a contactless card on the touch-payment gate.
Getting off
- Leave through the gate using the same ticket, IC card, QR code or contactless card.
