PASMO, Suica and the other nationwide transport IC cards can be used at every station on all Seibu lines (Ikebukuro, Seibu Chichibu, Seibu Yūrakuchō, Toshima, Sayama, Yamaguchi, Shinjuku, Seibuen, Kokubunji, Haijima, Tamako and Tamagawa lines). This comes from the PASMO operator list; PASMO notes that a few lines in its area do not take every card. You cannot ride beyond the IC card area on an IC card: buy a ticket for such trips. Contactless credit/debit cards and phones (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay) work at most Seibu stations, at the adult fare only: not yet between Musashi-Yokote and Yokoze or on the Tamagawa Line (13 stations), and not at every gate. Seibu plans to cover all 92 stations by the end of March 2027. P
PASMOは、以下の鉄道事業者の全駅(伊豆箱根鉄道駿豆線を除く)でご利用いただけます。
Getting on
Buy a ticket at the ticket machine (券売機), or use an IC card such as PASMO or Suica. At most stations you can also use a contactless credit/debit card or phone (クレカ乗車), with no registration needed.
Enter through the automatic ticket gate (自動改札機). IC card: touch it on the gate reader. Contactless card or phone: touch it on a gate that supports クレカ乗車. Some ticket gates at these stations do not have the reader, and the 13 stations from Musashi-Yokote to Yokoze and on the Tamagawa Line do not have it yet.
One contactless card covers one person only (the cardholder).
Digital QR tickets: at stations without a QR-capable gate, show the ticket's "in use" screen to the staff. At remotely staffed stations (staff answer by intercom), call the staff on the intercom.
Getting off
Leave through the automatic ticket gate, touching the same IC card you entered with.
If your IC card balance is too low, add money in cash at a fare adjustment machine (精算機), a charge machine, a ticket machine or the station window. If you rode on beyond the IC card area, pay in cash at the window of your exit station.
Contactless credit/debit card or phone: you must touch the same card or device to exit. You pay the adult fare (no child fares or discounts). It cannot be combined with other tickets such as commuter passes. Since 25 March 2026 one touch-in/touch-out also covers trips continuing onto Odakyu, Odakyu Hakone, Keio, Keikyu, Sotetsu, Tokyu, Tokyo Metro, Toei, Tobu and Minatomirai lines (some of their stations excluded), but you cannot ride on beyond these operators.
Wheelchair assistance
Seibu Railway Customer Center (西武鉄道お客さまセンター), every day 9:00–17:00 except 30 Dec–3 Jan. If you need staff help getting on or off, book by 17:00 the day before using Seibu's online assistance booking (介助事前受付サービス), or through the Customer Center or a station window. Booking is especially requested at the stations with no permanent staff that are only visited by patrolling staff (Musashi-Yokote, Higashi-Agano, Nishi-Agano, Shōmaru, Ashigakubo), and between 22:00 and 7:00 at the remotely staffed stations (staff answer by intercom) on the Ikebukuro, Sayama, Shinjuku, Haijima, Kokubunji and Seibuen lines. Without a booking, use the intercom near the ticket gates and wait for staff. Tel. 0570-005-712
