Delays & suspensionsLive status →Japanese only; shows delays of 30 minutes or more
Step-free accessStation list →PElectric wheelchairs can use only 26 listed stations, e.g. Nishidai, Itayado, Sanyo Akashi, Takasago, Sanyo Himeji (full list in the FAQ). At stations without elevators, call the nearest staffed station or the Sanyo Railway Information Center (078-913-2880) ahead and staff are sent to help; without notice you may have to wait.
ICOCA (sold for ¥2,000 including a ¥500 deposit at some ticket machines in every station and at the commuter-pass offices) and PiTaPa work at the ticket gates: touch the card to pass. Sanyo's pages mention the nationwide IC card mutual-use area, but this operator does not list the other card names (Suica, PASMO…) in text, so they are not confirmed here. P

Getting on
Pass the automatic ticket gate before boarding: with a paper ticket, an IC card (ICOCA, PiTaPa) or a QR ticket.
Contactless Visa/Mastercard etc. (credit, debit or prepaid card, or a phone set up with one): touch the dedicated reader on the gate. Works at every Sanyo station. Adult fare only (no child or disability fares, no commuter use), one person per card, and it cannot be combined with tickets, passes or IC cards. It is not accepted for alternative transport when service is disrupted.
If the gate will not let you through, ask at the station window or use the intercom.
Getting off
Leave through the ticket gate, touching the same IC card or contactless card you used to enter; the fare is deducted or charged then.
If you need to pay a fare difference or have a problem, ask station staff or use the intercom next to the fare-adjustment machine.
Day passes, regional passes and special tickets that include this line, cheapest first. Prices and rules change: check the official page before you buy.
