Getting on

  1. At the main stations (Dentetsu-Izumoshi, Izumotaisha-mae, Kawato, Unshū-Hirata, Matsue Shinjiko-Onsen) buy a ticket from the machine or the station staff before boarding.
  2. The ticket gate opens 5–10 minutes before departure; wait in the waiting room until then.
  3. Board by any door.

Getting off

  1. Get off by any door.
  2. Hand your ticket to the staff at the exit, or show your pass. If you have no ticket, give the staff your numbered ticket and pay the fare there.

Getting on

  1. Check the fare to your destination before boarding.
  2. Go straight to the platform and wait at the boarding point for your direction.
  3. Board the front car by its rear door and take a numbered ticket (seiriken) from the machine by the door; keep it.

Getting off

  1. Only one door opens: get off at the front, past the driver.
  2. Show your ticket or pass to the driver.
  3. No ticket: put your numbered ticket and the fare into the fare box at the front. It gives no change; the change machine is next to it and does not take ¥2,000, ¥5,000 or ¥10,000 notes.
