Booking recommended. Reservations are strongly advised: in the summer holidays and on long weekends you may not get on without one. Phone bookings open 1 month ahead (Naha office, 10:00–17:00, until the day before; no same-day bookings); web bookings open 55 days ahead. You pay and collect the ticket on the day of travel.

- Ticket counter on the north bank of Tomari Port, next to the Queen Zamami pier

- Visitors to Zamami Village pay a 100 yen island entry tax per person on top of the fare (not junior-high pupils and younger).
- The Queen Zamami pier (north bank) is about 10 minutes' walk from the Tomarin ticket office: allow time.
- Queen Zamami: at most 2 pieces of hand luggage per person.
- Board at least 10 minutes before departure.
