No booking needed. Foot passengers in 2nd class cannot book: buy a ticket at the port window on the day, first come first served. Cars, motorbikes, bicycles and 1st/special class are booked (online for cars from 60 days ahead until 17:00 the day before, otherwise by phone); without a booking you can still board if there is space.
