Booking recommended. Foot passengers can buy on the day, but on busy days you may not get on without a reservation, so the operator recommends booking. Online booking opens 3 months ahead and gives 10% off.

- Online booking on the Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry website (24 hours, from 3 months ahead until 2 days before; 10% web discount)
- Phone or terminal counter reservations, 9:00–18:00, from 3 months ahead until 4 hours before departure
Paying: At the terminal: cash, credit card, e-money or QR-code payment. Online bookings: credit card (until 2 days before) or convenience-store payment (until 5 days before).

Good to know P
- Finish check-in at least 40 min before departure (70 min from 20 July to 20 August) or your reservation may be cancelled.
- Children (primary school) pay half the adult fare; one child under 6 travels free with each adult.
- Muroran terminal has no shop or restaurant (vending machines only), and foot passengers board over the car deck, not a boarding bridge.
